Mr Tan Kin Lian to meet Mr John Bogle

This bit of news might be interesting to some. Mr Tan Kin Lian, the former CEO of NTUC Income, one of the biggest insurance company in Singapore, is meeting John Bogle in the coming two weeks.

Since Mr Tan has been talking about investing in low-cost and diversified funds for quite a while and advocating fixed or decreasing term insurance in place of costly whole life insurance, I wonder if his visit might have to do with a business discussion to bring Vanguard’s funds to the masses in Singapore at a lower cost than those currently available.
